The Role:
At Refyne, we are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Engineer to provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. You will assist with system setups, troubleshoot basic IT problems, manage IT assets, and ensure timely resolution of support tickets to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
What we are looking for:
- 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in IT support.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and applications.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, IP, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with asset tracking tools and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Freshservice, Zendesk).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
What you will do:
1.) Technical Support
- Provide basic troubleshooting and support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems and standard applications.
- Assist with hardware and software setup for new employees.
2.) Network Support
- Support users with basic network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN).
- Escalate complex network issues to senior IT staff.
- Maintain understanding of basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
3.) Asset Management
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets (laptops, desktops, accessories, licenses).
- Track asset allocation, returns, and lifecycle management.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with asset policies.
4.) Ticketing & Documentation
- Manage and respond to IT support tickets within defined SLAs.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and maintain knowledge base articles.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams as required.
