What you’ll be doing:
Analysing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for data visualization projects.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data, ensuring accurate and meaningful visual representations.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive data visualizations using Power BI to transform complex data sets into understandable, visually appealing, and interactive dashboards.
Utilizing your working knowledge of SQL to query and manipulate data for visualization purposes.
Connecting and integrating Power BI with Snowflake to pull and visualize data efficiently.
Enhancing data visualization processes and best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and deliver tailored visualization solutions that address specific business challenges.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical and non-technical documentation for all data visualization projects, including design specifications, user guides, and data dictionaries.
Ensure the integrity and quality of data in all visualizations and reports by conducting thorough testing, validation, and review processes.
Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance the organization s data strategy
What you need:
Basic Skills:
2+ years of experience in Information Technology, focusing on designing, developing, and executing data solutions.
2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and executing data visualizations and solutions.
Strong proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Familiarity with Snowflake as a data source for Power BI.
Understanding of Data modelling and implementation.
Understanding the dimension models for reporting and analysis.
Good communication skills for presenting data insights to stakeholders.
Problem-solving skills to address data visualization challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in visualizations.
Time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new data visualization tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards that meet the needs of various stakeholders.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all visualizations by performing thorough testing and validation.
Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability, ensuring they run efficiently for all users.
Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure seamless integration of data sources into Power BI.
Designing and implementing dimension models to support reporting and analysis.
Create and maintain documentation for data visualization processes, including design specifications and user guides.
Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure the availability and reliability of data for reporting purposes.
Use SQL to extract and manipulate data for use in Power BI and other visualization tools.
Explore and integrate Power BI & Snowflake as needed. Document No. .
